Day 1: Bogotá
Arrival in Bogotá and transfer to hostel.
Day 2: Bogotá
After breakfast, we´ll go on a half-day sightseeing trip of Bogotá to get to know the historical and cultural highlights. We will visit the central square of Bolivar with the surrounding government buildings and the historic center La Candelaria with its restored colonial houses. Afterwards, we will reach for the sun and take the cable car up to 3.200m onto the Monserrate. From there, you will have an impressive round view of the whole city. The rest of the day is free time.
Day 3: Bogotá – Zipaquira – Villa de Leiva
After breakfast, we will visit the world famous gold museum; we than pass by Zipaquira to tour its Salt Cathedral which is unique in the world. Next, we will move on to Villa de Leyva, one of the most beautiful colonial towns of the Andes with cobblestoned streets and the largest “Plaza Mayor” in all of South America. After a quick refreshment, we´ll go for a walk through the village. La Vida en Armonía con la Naturaleza

Day 4: Villa de Leiva – Bogotá
The morning is at everyone´s free disposal. Around noon, we will be brought to the bus terminal and via Tunja, the capital of the department of Boyaca, we will return to Bogotá.
Day 5: Bogotá – San Agustin
Today, we will take the comfortable public bus from Bogotá to San Agustin. The 10hour trip first brings us to Melgar which is situated at only 500m. Later, we will get to Neiva and than, along the Magdalena River - the biggest river in the country - until San Agustin. There lies one of the most important and impressive archaeological excavations in South America, known for its stone statues, embedded in a stunning green mountain landscape.
Day 6: San Agustín
After breakfast, we will visit the archaeological park and in the afternoon, we´ll go on a horse riding tour, passing by coffee plantations, to see further archaeological sites.
Day 7: San Agustín
Today we will visit the strait of the Magdalena River which is only 2meters wide, the narrowest part of the river. Afterwards, we will visit the archaeological sites close to the village Isnos „Alto de los Idolos“ y „Alto de las Piedras“. Return to San Agustin.
Day 8: San Agustín – Popayan
After breakfast, we will start on the gorgeous ride through the cleft Andes towards Popayan. The city was founded in 1537 by Sebastian Belalcazar who was on his way from Quito to the north to find the legendary treasure of Eldorado.
Day 9: Popayan
After breakfast, we´ll go for a walk through the so-called „White City“, thus many public and private buildings are traditionally painted in white. At noon, we will visit a coffee farm and learn all about the cultivation and processing of the coffee. Return to Popayan.
Day 10: Popayan – Silvia – Cali
In the morning, we will visit the indigenous market in Silvia and travel to Cali afterwards, passing through the lowlands of the Cauca River. At night, we will visit a Salsa school where we´ll have the opportunity to own the dancefloor.
Day 11: Cali – Bogotá – Santa Marta
After breakfast, ride to the airport and flight via Bogota to Santa Marta. Transfer to the hotel and overnight. La Vida en Armonía con la Naturaleza

Day 12: Santa Marta – Tayrona national park – Santa Marta
Today we go on a daytrip to the Tayrona national park. It is one of the best known and most beautiful national parks in all of South America. In addition to its unique flora and fauna, it offers outstandingly beautiful palm-draped dream beaches. In the evening, we will return to Santa Marta.
Day 13: Santa Marta – Cartagena
Along the Caribbean coast, passing Barranquilla, we will reach Cartagena. Like no other city, Cartagena understands to combine the Caribbean joy of life and colonial heritage in an irresistible way. Undoubtedly the highlight of any Colombia-trip!
Day 14: Cartagena
After breakfast, we will visit the colonial treasures of the city on a half-day roundtrip. The afternoon is at everyone´s free disposal.
Day15: Cartagena – Bogotá
Around noon, transfer to the airport and flight to Bogotá. End of program.
